Trained: Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts.
Theatre: Ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar (Lyceum Theatre); Joule, Volta, Ashley, Buffy, Dinah in Starlight Express (Apollo Victoria); Ashley in Starlight Express (Japan); Consuelo in West Side Story (Dublin); The Rocky Horror Show; various Summer Seasons; pantomime with Wayne Sleep (Theatre Royal, Norwich).
Television: Get Set for Summer, South of the Border; Eastenders; The Hippodrome Show; resident choreographer for Grange Hill; MTV with own band Apogee.
Pop Videos / Trade Shows / Commercials: Various engagements including videos choreographed by Arlene Philips; trade shows for Jeff Richer. C. Jay's band Apogee are currently working on their first album signed to ZTT.
Biography (1986)[]
C. Jay Ranger trained at The Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts,during which time she appeared on Get Set, performed in Jack and the Beanstalk at Tunbridge Wells and with Lenny Henry in Blackpool Summer '84 for Bernarnd Delfont. On leaving college, she worked with Wayne Sleep in Norwich at Christmas, 1985. Since then, she has worked as a free-lance dancer/singer in Videos, Trade Shows and Commercials.
This is her first West End show.
