Biography (1993)[]
Dan Metcalfe (Ruhrgold) has appeared in theatre, television productions and commercials in London, Germany and Japan including a televised appearance as Alfie in England. He played Greaseball in Starlight Express in Japan and Germany while singing in a band and modeling for magazine covers. Dan's work as a personal trainer (and a Step and Sculpt teacher) in L.A. enabled him to remain in the U.S. where he also coached Fusion Club soccer. He also trained to be a stuntman. Dan is in America to become successful in films and he thanks his wife, Jacki, for being so supportive and following him in his travels.
Biography (1989)[]
Danny Metcalfe trained at Laine Theatre Arts for two years. Before entering the profession, he was at AFC Bournemouth as a footballer until he joined Hollywood Dance Studios in Bournemouth which inspired him to train full time at Laine. Whilst there he worked Stylistics, Freddie Starr, Little and Large, Gary Wilmot, Duncan Norvelle, Chas and Dave, Billy Connolly, Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones, Michael Barrymore and the Grumbleweeds. He has also done numerous fashion shows and photographic work for Models Plus. He played a main character in a West End preview for a musical, Bernadette. He feels very privileged to be in Starlight Express, and would like to thank his parents for their support throughout his life.
