Biography (1988)[]

From the age of four Debbie has always proved her dancing ability, winning many medals and awards, and it seemed natural to her to transfer those abilities onto roller-skates. When she was 18, she formed a roller-dance group to tour clubs and this led to television appearances in many features and documentaries for both BBC and ITV. Her natural flair and ability was soon noted by Trevor Nunn and Arlene Philips, and they cast her in the role of Joule in the original production of Starlight Express. Debbie's enthusiasm led her to develop her vocal talents and she was rewarded with the role of Dinah for the 1986 London season of Starlight Express. A role she relishes, Debbie is excited by the opportunity to play Dinah.
