Jane made her movie debut in National Lampoon's Vacation and will soon be seen in Fatal Attraction. Other credits include the HBO feature "No Big Deal," the original workshop production of Marvin Hamlisch's Smile (she created the role of Doria Houston) and, most recently, Wendy Wasserstein's Miami.
Jane Krakowski got her Broadway debut as Dinah while auditioning for Lés Miserables. While she went pretty far on the audition for Éponine, the production managed to bring the actress from the London production to star in the american adaptation. Without roles to audition for, Jane was asked by Trevor Nunn to audition for Starlight Express. The actress in question was Frances Ruffelle, who originated the role of Dinah in the London production, which was the part Jane got for Starlight Express.
