Mitch began his theatrical career at an early age, attending White Lodge Royal Ballet School and completing his training at the Performing Arts Course at Balford College in 1984.
His theatre credits include: Alan in For those who are hard of thinking; Jimmy Porter in Look Back in Anger for the Precinct T.I.E. Company; Puss in Boots, Gypsy and the highly acclaimed European premier of Follies for Stephen Sondheim with the Library Theatre Company; and Bring the Sunshine at the London Palladium - performed live and filmed in conjunction with Thames Television.
His many other television credits include Grange Hill, Coronation Street, the Anita Harris Series, 3, 2, 1 and presenting a five month Spanish television series Cantantes y Sonantes in Barcelona. Mitch worked in Cairo with the Spring Time Express ballet company and later toured the Middle East with the blues singer Jacqui De Vere forming the musical duo Cockney & Sneeze.
Since creating the role of Commodore Perry in the original European production of Pacific Overtures, which has since been recorded for LWT's South Bank show, Mitch has appeared in Gillian Lynne's revival of Cabaret at the Strand Theatre, London. Before joining Starlight Express he recorded "Love Me Tender" - a tribute to Elvis Presley - as a featured dancer for national television.
