Philip Clayton was an American actor. He created the role of Espresso in the Broadway production of Starlight Express, a role he played for the show's two-year run.
Clayton died in 1997 of complications from AIDS.

PHILIP CLAYTON (Espresso). After two years as Chantal in the national tour of La Cage aux Folles, Philip trades his heels for wheels to make his Broadway debut in Starlight Express. Among numerous other theatrical credits, Philip completed 1,891 performances of MGM Grand's Jubilee! in Vegas.
