Biography (1998)[]

Robert first performed in the West End at the age of eight.

Theatre: Pippin; Oliver!; West Side Story; Fiddler On the Roof.

Video/Film/TV: Numerous video, film and television engagements.

Vocal: Songwriter and vocalist with his own group.

Robert is also a qualified fitness instructor.

Biography (1989)[]

Robert Northwood was born in London and trained at the Barbara Speake Stage School. He has appeared in four West End musicals, Pippin, Oliver!, Fiddler on the Roof, playing the Fiddler, and West Side Story in which he played Chino and Action. He has made numerous television appearances working for choreographers such as George May for The Freddie Starr Show and The Grumbleweeds, Ken Warwick for Miss World 86 and 87, Norman Maine and Paddy Stone for A Tribute to Dickie Henderson and Stanley Baxter Christmas Show and Alan Harding for A Night of 100 Stars. Now returning to the West End stage, he still manages to find time to rehearse with his band, and prepare himself and his wife Angie for the birth of their first baby due in June.
