Biography (1991)[]
Sally Taylor was born in Retford and studied at Laine Theatre Arts. As a child professional she worked in numerous shows with many well known performers and, from graduation, Sally and Firsts became synonymous. At seventeen she came first in Miss Dance of Great Britain and this was quickly followed by being the first artiste to be seen on the spectacular Channel 4 show Celebration. She was picked from hundreds of young hopefuls for Gary Wilmot's first national tour in 1986 and again in 1987. Sally then toured the UK with Wayne Sleep's Dash Company and appeared in A Dash of Christmas at the Dominion Theatre in London. Other appearances include Funny Girl and Singing in the Rain at the London Palladium and, on television in A Song for Europe. In 1989/90 Sally appeared in the tour of Gypsy, followed by a highly successful run in My Fair Lady. Sally also played a principal role in Pantomime last year. Most recently, she has recorded songs for a new musical.
